Key Learnings
Over the years, I have observed and absorbed a lot that has formed key disciplines that I strive to apply in my day-to-day.
Lead with Empathy and Curiosity Listen first, ask powerful questions second, and then co-create solutions together. Trust and autonomy aren’t buzzwords, they’re the foundation for psychological safety, mutual respect, and real innovation.
Treat the Root Cause
Treating the symptoms of the problem won’t cure the problem. Diving deeper into the root cause, and working up from there, will produce long-term solutions and success.
Growth Mindset
Always seek ever-lasting growth, in myself and in the people I work with. Support environments where curiosity is rewarded, questions are encouraged, and experimentation is a path to shared learning.
Always Do the Right Thing
Always prioritize what’s right for customers over what’s profitable. After all, the customers are what make us and the brand succeed.
Think Big Picture First, Then Sweat the Details
Be able to see the big picture. Strategy must come first. Once a tight strategy is formed, then you can sweat the details.
Stay Obsessively Organized
Stay extremely organized at all stages. It is the foundation to success, especially at mid-to-larger scales.
I love doing great work with great people.
I believe the best outcomes come when we feel respected, empowered, and encouraged to bring our full ideas to the table. When teams feel trusted, they naturally build camaraderie and deliver their best work — creatively, reliably, and sustainably.
With a subtle Minne-soooh-t’n accent, I hail from the land of 10,000 lakes, harsh winters and local craft beer. I currently reside in the Greater Chicago Area whereI am a full-time art director & designer.
For over a decade I have offered a distinctive point of view with my creative solutions. As I continue into a new decade I seek to expand my experience with purposeful creative solutions through tight strategy, focused metrics, stunning visual direction and intentional design across a greater number of contexts.
I love doing great work with great people, especially in environments led by trust, empathy, and a shared sense of purpose. I believe that when people feel inspired, respected, and empowered to own their ideas, the work not only gets better, but joy becomes sustainable.
